Location: Happy Sapiens Dental, Texas (On-site / Hybrid)
Reports To: Lead Dentist / Practice Owner

About Our Practice
At Happy Sapiens Dental, we are trying to break out of the traditional "sick care" dental model. We believe that oral health is the gateway to systemic wellness, and we treat the biological root causes of disease rather than just repairing the end-stage symptoms. We are launching a premium, in-house Integrative Wellness Membership Plan that pairs elite biological dentistry with functional medicine. We are seeking a passionate, forward-thinking Registered Dietitian to spearhead our Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and lifestyle protocols, helping our patients heal from the inside out.

Position Overview
We are looking for a state-licensed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN, LD) who specializes in functional nutrition, inflammatory disorders, or metabolic health. In this role, you will partner directly with our clinical dental team to co-manage patients struggling with chronic periodontal disease, rampant caries, airway issues, and pre/post-operative healing blocks.

You will not be bound by traditional insurance limitations. Instead, your services will be a core feature of our premium cash-pay wellness membership tiers and specialized internal referral tracks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Consultation: Conduct deep-dive functional nutrition assessments (60-minute initials) and follow-up coaching (30-minute sessions) for patients referred by the dental team.
  • Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT): Design and implement targeted nutritional protocols for specific oral-systemic pathologies:
    • Periodontal Track: Anti-inflammatory protocols, glycemic control, and tissue-healing micronutrient optimization.
    • Caries Track: Salivary pH balancing, identifying hidden dietary acids, and metabolic restructuring.
    • Surgical Track: Pre- and post-op healing protocols for dental implants, bone grafts, and full-mouth rehabilitations.
  • Biomarker Analysis: Interpret advanced diagnostics, including salivary pathogen/pH testing, basic blood work (HbA1c, Vitamin D3, hs-CRP), and gut health tracking to guide lifestyle protocols.
  • Collaborative Care: Work seamlessly alongside the dentists and dental assistants to provide a unified, holistic patient experience.
  • Member Management: Service the nutritional portion of our in-house Integrative Wellness Membership tier, ensuring an elite, high-touch patient experience.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Credentials: Must be a Registered Dietitian / Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) with an active, unrestricted Licensed Dietitian (LD) credential in the State of Texas (regulated by TDLR).
  • Skills: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to execute a "warm handoff" with a dental team. Strong understanding of the oral-systemic health connection is highly preferred (though we will provide training on specific dental protocols).
  • Structure: Must operate as a registered business entity (LLC or PLLC) to fulfill the independent contractor agreement in compliance with Texas healthcare law. We can help with that.

What We Offer:
  • Freedom from Insurance: Work in a completely fee-for-service / membership ecosystem. Zero time wasted fighting insurance denials or filing claims.
  • Guaranteed Pipeline: Immediate access to an established, highly trusting patient base eager for holistic and preventive solutions.
  • Collaborative Culture: Be a true pioneer in the rapidly growing field of integrative dental medicine, working with a team that values your expertise as a core pillar of care.
